Installation instructions
The instructions below are intended for a qualified fitter to
perform the installation, adjustment and technical
maintenance procedures in full compliance with the applicable
norms in force.
Important: make sure the appliance is disconnected from
the electricity mains before performing any operations
(adjustment, maintenance, etc.). If the appliance has to
stay on for some reason, you must take all necessary
precautions.
Installation
These instructions concern a class 1 appliance.
Make sure you take all the necessary precautions to
guarantee proper installation in compliance with the applicable
norms in force regarding accident-prevention for electrical
connection.
Should you install the hob above a built-in oven, the power
supply cable and the gas pipe must be placed in such a way
as to ensure they do not come into contact with the hot
parts of the oven in order to avoid overheating. Suitable air
inlets should be foreseen to allow for the proper ventilation
within the cabinet as illustrated in fig. 1 (at least 200 cm² of
inlet at the bottom and at least 180 cm² at the top).
Should you install the hob above a built-in oven without forced
cooling ventilation, a wooden insulating panel "A" (fig. 1)
should be installed beneath the hob, situated at least 15 mm
under the hob itself. For the correct operation of the appliance
when built into the cabinet, it is vital that the minimum
distances illustrated in fig. 2 be respected. The hob features
a type Y degree of protection against overheating in
compliance with norm EN60335-2-6. All surfaces adjacent
to the cabinet and the back panel should be made of materials
resistant to a temperature of 65°C.
Installation above a built-in oven
The electricity supply cable must not touch hot parts of the
oven housing, in order to avoid overheating. Suitable air vents
should be provided for as shown in fig.1 to allow adequate
ventilation inside the housing unit.
When installing above a built-under oven without forced
cooling ventilation, a wooden panel “A” (fig.3a) should be
installed beneath the hob as insulation, positioning it at a
minimum distance of 15 mm from the hob housing.
This wooden panel must be removable in order to allow for
any maintenance operations beneath the hob.
If the hob is installed on a base unit with doors, hob operation
is not influenced by the opening and closing of these doors.
Fixing to the unit
To slot in the hobs flush with the worktop, it is necessary to
lower the area just outside the cut-out for the hob as illustrated
in figure 4.
To fix hobs to the unit, four brackets have been provided to
fit on as indicated in figures 3b;
